YOUR DAILY WORK
- Lead requirement gathering workshops with the customer to detail out the roadmap and business requirements
- Translate requirements into a technical design specification
- Advise clients on data governance best practices
- Adept in implementing the Collibra operating model
- Community and domain set up for an organisation
- Configure new domain types, asset types, attributes and relations choosing the appropriate parents
- Configure traceability diagram and views
- Develop custom dashboards
- Execute and explain the out-of-the-box workflows to the clients
- Make enhancements to out-of-the-box workflow
- Conduct workshops with client to explain and set up user and groups, roles and permissions, the search function and filters
- Able to configure data source ingestion via Edge
- Able to install and configure the lineage harvester for ingestion of e.g.Tableau or technical lineage
- Must have 2+ years of experience working with Collibra DIC
- Adept at Collibra DGC configuration including: data classification, policy management, data lineage
- Helpdesk and issue management
- Good understanding of how to extract metadata from databases, ETL/ELT tools and reporting tools
- Exposure to a range of integration methods, databases and data management software
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, methodical, and organized
- Collibra Solution Architect certification
- Adept in programming languages: SQL, Groovy script, HTML
- Exposure to and understanding of data privacy regulations

YOUR FIRST THREE MONTHS
FIRST MONTHDuring the first month, your focus will be on immersing yourself in the organization's data landscape and understanding its unique challenges and goals. You'll participate in onboarding sessions, getting acquainted with key stakeholders and the Collibra platform. Your initial tasks will include data profiling, identifying potential data owners and stewards, and conducting preliminary data quality assessments.
SECOND MONTHIn the second month, you'll dive deeper into Collibra platform configuration and customization. You'll work on creating data governance workflows, defining data cataloging standards, and setting up governance dashboards for monitoring and reporting. Collaborating closely with data stewards, you'll begin mapping data lineage and establishing metadata structures.
THIRD MONTHBy the third month, you'll be actively engaging with data stewards to formalize data ownership, responsibilities, and processes. You'll lead data quality improvement initiatives, implementing data profiling tools and initiating data cleansing efforts. This month will also mark the rollout of your training sessions, empowering stakeholders to leverage Collibra effectively.
