Director, Digital Transformation (Canada/USA)

This position reports directly to the President of the Americas and is responsible for all banking, financial services, and other Axxiome consulting activities in the region. Key will be leading new business development and strategic account activities that enable scalable growth and portfolio diversification. The Digital Transformation Director’s efforts will focus on financial services digital transformation, SAP Banking, business process optimization, data governance, business intelligence, and data integration. The incumbent will have full P&L responsibility and will influence and shape Axxiome’s business strategy, product roadmap, and data practice expansion.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Key Account Management
  • Influence Axxiome banking business strategy and product roadmap
  • Keep current with trends in financial services, technology, competitive intelligence, etc.
  • Responsible for profit & loss management, revenue targets and profit center and project success
  • Project planning & management (resources, timelines, budgets, milestones)
  • Business consulting in banking and financial services industries (digital transformation, change management, process optimization, project management, business intelligence, data governance, etc.)
  • Source, lead, and deliver against technical transformation projects (time allocation expectation is 60% delivery, 40% business development)
  • Act as a manager and team lead of employees cross-border
  • Actively participate in recruiting high caliber resources, employee onboarding and integration, assignment of goals and objectives, and overall performance management


  • Master’s degree in finance and/or Business Administration and proven success selling technology products and consulting projects in financial services (ex. banking, credit unions, insurance, etc.)
  • 15+ years of industry experience (digital banking transformation, change management, process optimization), preferably in Canada or the United States
  • Proven success at deepening existing portfolios AND developing net new revenue streams
  • 10+ years of banking architecture & digital banking project experience as a project or program manager
  • Banking process & digital banking subject matter expert (SME)
  • SAP Banking know-how (nice to have) or S/4
  • Strong understanding of IT Project Management principles and techniques
  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical decision-making ability
  • Able to create an honest, trustful culture that encourages openness, challenge, and a willingness to think, act and react differently at C-suite levels
  • Able to probe for and understand customer pain points or use cases
  • Leverage experience and expertise to work with clients and solve complex digital transformation challenges (ex. efficiency, cost, velocity, innovation, customer experience)
  • Support design, development, and implementation of business operating models, including vision and strategy, business processes, organizational and governance structures, supporting tools and templates, and performance metrics
  • Able to communicate concisely and effectively and adapt across multiple professional audiences
  • Proficient at managing full P&L and accountable for delivering desired results
  • Identify and manage opportunities (with reasonable business risks)
  • Able to develop relationships both internally and externally and turn them into business
  • Lead teams and/or work efforts at Axxiome or a client to deliver the desirable outcome
  • Results orientated and create an inspiring and productive working atmosphere
  • Senior Management skills (project management skills; demonstrated the ability to push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution; understands how to align resources, seek the input of key constituents, and manage others to achieve desired results)
  • Able to provide strategic influence, direction, and leadership to team members
