Collibra & Data Governance Consultant (Canada/USA)

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced, skilled and motivated individual to be a hands-on consultant in the delivery of Collibra Data Governance projects. You will be supporting our Americas operations (Canada, USA and Latin America).

The successful candidate will be part of the Data Practice and participate in the entire Collibra project lifecycle to implement data governance solutions.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Lead requirement gathering workshops with the customer to detail out the roadmap and business requirements.
Translate requirements into a technical design specification.
Advise clients on data governance best practices.
Adept in implementing the Collibra operating model:
- Community and domain set up for an organisation
- Configure new domain types, asset types, attributes and relations choosing the appropriate parents
- Configure traceability diagram and views
Develop custom dashboards
Execute and explain the out-of-the-box workflows to the clients.
Make enhancements to out-of-the-box workflow
Conduct workshops with client to explain and set up:
- User and groups
- Roles and permissions and to set up the client’s requirements
- The search function and filters
Able to configure data source ingestions via Edge
Able to install and configure the lineage harvester for ingestion of e.g.Tableau or technical lineage.

Requirements

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have:

Must have 2+ years of experience working with Collibra DIC.
Adept at Collibra DGC configuration including:
Data classification
Policy management
Data lineage
Helpdesk and issue management
Good understanding of how to extract metadata from databases, ETL/ELT tools and reporting tools
Exposure to a range of integration methods, databases and data management software
Good written and verbal communication skills
Analytical, methodical, and organized

Nice to have:

Collibra Solution Architect certification
Adept in programming languages: SQL, Groovy script, HTML
Exposure to and understanding of data privacy regulations

Type of contract: Contract/Full-time
