Account Executive (Alberta)

Are you a dynamic, self-driven, customer-centric Technical Account Executive with proven success selling technology products and services to financial services clients? In this role, you will be managing a key client relationship, based in Western Canada. An on-site presence at the client’s offices is expected, post COVID, to ensure successful delivery of in-flight projects, new business development, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The selected candidate will also be accountable for developing and delivering new client revenue from prospects across Canada.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Quickly develop a working knowledge of Axxiome’s products and services, industry positioning and competitive environment
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales and revenue targets
  • Perform all facets of direct selling activities from interest creation, presentation, contract negotiation, closing and ongoing relationship management
  • Develop strategic C-suite and executive relationships with both IT and business owners
  • Cultivate a keen understanding of clients’ business priorities, challenges, product offerings, roadmap, technology pain-points, ideal IT and business “end-state” environments and how Axxiome can accelerate delivery of desired outcomes
  • Provide viable solutions and exceptional customer service to clients and prospects
  • Work collaboratively with Axxiome’s partner network to identify and develop new opportunities and improve Axxiome’s overall alignment to client’s desired outcomes
  • Participate in internal sales meetings, sharing actionable client/prospect feedback to inform our product roadmap and to meet specific and broad client needs
  • Provide timely updates on all sales/client activity within CRM, ensuring accuracy of sales pipeline and revenue forecast
  • Develop Statements of Work as required for projects and staff assignment
  • Manage team performance throughout contract enduring timely achievement of key deliverables
  • Participate in resource discussions for new project requests, source and present candidates for client consideration, and assist with the onboarding
  • Approve monthly invoicing, ensuring rates are reflected accurately
  • Involvement in special projects as required


  • Minimum 5+ years of B2B consulting or software sales experience
  • University Degree Preferred
  • Core banking and/or digital banking software sales experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Retail Bank Channel landscape and competitive offerings
  • Understanding of SAP banking software offerings is an asset
  • Canadian Financial Services knowledge and industry trends (US is an asset)
  • Target and KPI oriented – biased to overachieve
  • Self-driven and demonstrated success in exceeding assigned B2B sales targets
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications including C-suite and executive level presentations, contract negotiations, RFI/RFP responses, etc.
  • Established professional network within western Canadian banking to support new client signings and sustainable revenue growth
  • Resilient personality with exceptional persuasion and sale closing skills
  • Persistent and astute at tactfully identifying and influencing key decision makers and stakeholders within IT and Line of Business (LOB) client or prospect organizations
